The Rockwall Volkswagen project involved the ground-up architectural design and technical coordination of a modern automotive facility located in Fate, Texas. The project scope encompassed a comprehensive 10,251-square-foot facility featuring a high-end automobile showroom, dedicated service parts storage, and a professional service workshop. As part of the architectural team, work included performing a detailed building code analysis to ensure compliance with the 2018 International Building, Plumbing, and Mechanical Codes, as well as strict adherence to the 2012 Texas Accessibility Standards (TAS) for ADA compliance.

Technical contributions to the project involved the development of complex architectural systems and schedules. This included designing fire-rated wall assemblies with mineral wool batt insulation for safety and creating detailed reflected ceiling plans that integrated specialized vehicle exhaust extraction systems and roof access infrastructure. Furthermore, the work involved coordinating extensive interior and exterior lighting specifications—ranging from perimeter sales lot illumination to showroom fixtures—and managing a comprehensive finish schedule that detailed high-durability materials like stainless steel restroom partitions and specific decorative stamped concrete patterns for the exterior.
