Kite Privacy Policy
In short: Kite keeps your notes, calendar events, tasks, habits and journal on your own devices. The developer does not collect, store, sell or share your personal data, and Kite has no ads, analytics or tracking. This is the same on every platform.
Information Kite stores
Everything you create in Kite (notes, folders, calendar events, tasks, habits, journal entries, and your settings and Work/Personal profiles) is saved only in the app's private storage on your device. None of it is sent to the developer or to any server run by the developer.
Syncing between your devices
If you choose to sync Kite between your phone and your computer, data travels directly between your own devices over your local Wi-Fi network. It does not pass through the internet or any cloud service, and the developer cannot see it.
Purchases
Kite offers a free trial followed by a one-time purchase. The developer never sees your payment details on any platform.
- Android: payments are handled entirely by Google Play, under the Google Privacy Policy.
- iPhone and Mac: payments are handled entirely by the Apple App Store, under the Apple Privacy Policy.
- Windows: there is no purchase inside the Windows app. It unlocks when it syncs over your local network with a phone that has already unlocked Kite.
The developer receives only a confirmation that a purchase was made. The app stores may also show the developer anonymous, combined figures such as download counts.
What Kite does not do
- No account or sign-in is required.
- No advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or tracking tools are included.
- No personal data is sold, rented or shared with third parties.
- No location, contacts, camera or microphone data is collected.
Permissions
Kite may ask for notification permission to remind you about tasks and events, and local network access to sync with your own devices. On a computer, your system may ask you to allow Kite through its firewall for the same reason. These are used only for those features on your device.
Deleting your data
You control your data. Delete individual items inside the app, or remove everything by clearing Kite's storage in your device settings or uninstalling the app. Because the developer holds no copy, there is nothing on our side to delete.
Children
Kite is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
